We are excited to announce that Young Women Writing for a Change® is now operating as a program of the Writing for a Change Foundation of Bloomington, Inc., a new arts-education non-profit organization that has evolved from within the Women Writing for (a) Change leadership community. This non-profit is guided by the process we know and love: writing to promote personal growth, leadership, deepening creativity, and healthy community building. Within this framework, the mission of the Young Women Writing for a Change® program remains the same: to foster a healthy writing community where the words of girls and young women from all walks of life are nurtured, developed, and celebrated. Our YWW program mission moves forward in alignment with the mission of Writing for a Change Foundation. We are happy to announce this administrative and organizational shift beginning with the YWW summer camp programs for 2012.
